The eEarlyCare-T Project, co-funded by the European Union, which aims to develop materials, virtual learning environments and practical virtual laboratories in the field of early childhood care, has carried out the first Learning Teaching, Training Activities.
This project is led by the University of Burgos with the collaboration of the University of Roma Tre (Italy) and the University of Sveuciliste u Rijeci (Croatia), as well as the Spanish companies Gestionet Multimedia S.L. and Kveloce I+D+i.
On 5, 6 and 7 April, the Learning Teaching, Training Activities -C1 (LTTA-C1) were held at the Department of Social Medicine and Epidemiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Rijeka, during which the strengths and weaknesses of the first intellectual results of the project eEarlyCare-T were discussed.
The results developed so far are focused on the development of 8 training modules aimed at the specialisation or training of early care professionals in the 0-6 age group, which can be consulted and downloaded from the project's website or from the Institutional Repository of the University of Burgos. They are currently available in Spanish, English and Croatian will soon be available in Italian.
In addition, a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) has been developed in which the contents of these modules are implemented in an interactive space. Access to the VLE is free and anyone interested can log in at this link and access this virtual learning space.
The work sessions in LTTA-C1 were carried out in a hybrid form, face-to-face and virtual, and followed the dynamics of analysis of the contents and the functionality of use of the VLE. Likewise, at the end of each day, a discussion and synthesis session was held on the aspects analysed. Specifically, on Wednesday 5 April, an introduction to the objectives and dynamics of the project was given and modules I and II were studied in the VLE. On Thursday 6 April, modules III, IV and V in the VLE were analysed. Finally, on Friday 7 April, modules VI, VII and VIII were studied in the VLE and a final evaluation of the three days was made. The sessions were coordinated by Dr Darko Roviš and Dr Vanja Vasiljev.
The excellent coordination and implementation of LTTA-C1 by the partners from the Department of Social Medicine and Epidemiology, Faculty of Medicine, Rijeka, Croatia and the agile and collaborative interaction of the other partners should be highlighted.
In these LTTA-C1 conferences have participated on behalf of the University of Burgos in person the project coordinator Dr María Consuelo Sáiz Manzanares and the researchers Marticorena Sánchez and Rodríguez Arribas and virtually the researchers Camino Escolar Llamazares, Miguel Ángel Queiruga Dios, Laura Alonso Martínez, Carmen Varela Vázquez and Irene González Díez.
The development of the LTTA-C1 conference can be consulted at the link.
About eEarlyCare-T
The project "Specialized and updated training supporting advance technologies for early childhood" (eEarlyCare-T) is integrated by researchers from three European universities (University of Burgos, University of Roma Tre (Italy) and Croatian University of Sveuciliste u Rijeci), with the participation of the Spanish companies Gestionet Multimedia S.L. and Kveloce I+D+i.
This interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and innovative project focuses on updating the training of practising professionals and new professionals in the field of early childhood care (ages 0-6 years). The training activities will apply innovative teaching methodologies based on the use of different technological resources (avatars, gamification, laboratories and virtual reality). In addition, the entire training process will be carried out within a virtual learning environment (VLE) that will apply different tools that allow the user self-assessment and personalised learning.
