The University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, invites applications from candidates for full-time, tenured and tenure-track faculty positions with an expected start date of July 1, 2020. They welcome applications from candidates across all areas of law, although subject areas of particular interest include administrative law, business associations, business law, civil procedure, contracts, comparative and international law, criminal law and procedure, employment and labor law, environmental and energy law, evidence, immigration law, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, health law, property, race and law, tax, and torts.
Berkeley Law is interested in candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence by providing leadership in teaching, research and service toward building an equitable and diverse scholarly environment. Candidates must either:
a) hold a J.D. or equivalent international degree by date of application, or
b) hold or have advanced to candidacy status for a Ph.D., or equivalent international degree, by date of application.
Candidates who do not hold a J.D. degree, but who have advanced to candidacy status for a Ph.D. or equivalent international degree, must have the Ph.D. or equivalent international degree conferred by the start date.
